The Regional District of Mount Waddington, along with Province of British Columbia and Government of Canada, is pleased to annouce the opening of a new wastewater treatment plant in Coal Harbour.
The plant, designed to benefit residents of the Quatsino First Nation and the neighbouring community of Coal Harbour, received $449,000 in funding from the Clean Water Watsewater Fund, a joint federal-provincial program. The construction employed local contractors Paul Getman and Port Hardy Bulldozer, and as well as AWC Water Solutions Ltd. from Surrey, BC.
