Effective Immediately! Oversize stone or metal debris found in wood waste brought to the 7 Mile Landfill & Recycling Centre will be reclassified as controlled waste and charged accordingly

The Malcolm Island Transfer Station will be closed on Wednesdays, but open on Fridays from 10:00am - 1:00pm until further notice, due to the safety issue of the exterior lighting not working yet. The RDMW Board of Directors has established the Quatsino Advisory Commission to review and provide input on matters related to land use planning and development, as well as the provision of RDMW services including the solid waste / recycling transfer station and public wharf. The RDMW is looking for members of the public who would be interested to participate as members of the Quatsino Advisory Commission.
