The Regional District operates one arena with an NHL size ice surface.  The facility hosts activities such as adult recreational hockey, minor hockey, figure skating, learn-to-skate programs, public shinny and public skating from September - March.  The arena also supplies the Broughton Curling Rink with the coolant required to operate their programs.

During the summer months our ice is in for the month of July.  During that time the facility hosts two hockey schools and the figure skating club runs their summer lesson programs.

The facility rents out one meeting room and hosts a variety of activities and meetings throughout the year.

The arena operates with three full-time staff, two seasonal staff and six part-time concession staff during the winter months and three full-time staff during the summer.

Duties include:  Administration and programming, ice operations, concession and skate shop operations as well maintenance and janitorial routines are completed in and around the facility.

Schedules are subject to frequent changes, please contact Shana Marshall at 250-956-3522 to confirm available times and make bookings.

The Image Room is a beautiful space which is ideal for meetings, workshops, training, Christmas and birthday parties, and weddings for 50 - 75 people. The space also offers an excellent set-up for dance, aerobics or martial arts classes.

 

Non-Alcohol Events: $20 per hour / $60 for 4 hours / $100 for 8 hours

Commercial or Alcohol Events: $125

Set-up and Clean-up Charge - Minimum (per hour of clean-up time): $20 per hour

The attached Kitchenette offers a handy space for coffee and tea preparation or prep area for catering.

There is no charge for the Image Room for User Groups (Hockey/Figure Skating, etc)
