The Regional District of Mount Waddington encompasses the northern third of Vancouver Island and a large area of the adjacent mainland. Although we are small in numbers, (approximately 12,000 people), we are one of the most important timber producing areas in Canada, and we are one of the largest producing areas for farmed salmon, as well as home to one of the few specialty cellulose mills in North America.
