The Regional District of Mount Waddington partnered with the City of Campbell River and the Strathcona Regional District to conduct a Labour Market Study project that was primarily funded by the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada through WorkBC.
The objectives of this project include research, data compilation and development of an action plan to create a report (the “Labour Market Study”) that highlights a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by the aquaculture, forestry, tourism and healthcare sectors in the region. The other main objective is to create a hiring and attraction toolkit for the healthcare sector to be used to attract healthcare professionals to the area.
