The RDMW works within the local communites to fill service gaps that neither municipalities nor the provincial government could efficiently address. Business is vital to the long-term sustainability and the RDMW work towards building relationships with various First Nations, Service Providers, and Government Authorities.
Key Functions:
Service Providers: Assist and/or deliver essential services such as water supply, fire protection, waste management, parks, and emergency planning.
Planning Authorities: Develop zoning bylaws, official community plans, and regional growth strategies.
Administrative Agencies: Manage government debt and funding through designated roles & service contracts.
Economic Development: Support local economies by coordinating development strategies, attracting investment, and promoting regional assets.

Businesses play a vital role in the economic and social fabric of regional districts. Their success and sustainability are closely tied to the policies and services provided by these districts.
